I've got no strings to hold me down!

This is just to show you the university... haha if only all universities looked that appealing to go to.. I'd be a first class student!!

Last night I went out in down town Orlando which was AMAZING!! was nice to get out of Florida! was cool! and everyone loves the British accent so even better!

Today I had extra training which I was expecting as I had already completed my training.. howeverrrr they trained me for the Christmas shop and the Memories shop incase I get moved around in my zone which was actually pretty cool. I got taught to do the embroidery on hats and how to make peoples names on those leather bracelets!Made quite a few today and they all turned out really well so was quite proud of myself. Was good to get into other shops and do different things and was cool all the stuff I got taught. Also they have this thing where is a cast member has done something good then another cast member can fill a slip out and and give it to them and the manager and it goes onto their record... and I got ones of those today which was really cool.. so looks good on my files! It was just for helping out loads at the Christmas shop... but really it was for me and my trainer.. because it was really busy but they let me have a till and serve over there.. which was cool considering I had only just been trained there. The trainer was impressed with me though and said I was doing really well. We saw one of my managers and he was shocked I was still being trained because he thought I was doing well and didn't think I needed any more training.. which is good.. just to bump up my ego a little bit. Im also known as the' brit' at work! haha

Then after my training finished I had two hours in the art shop but with no trainers anymore so I am an official cast member! was actually really cool! Made friends with a guy.... who had a really cool name.. but I can't rememeber it! anyways he was a ledgend and taught me all the tricks and stuff. Was nice just being able to chat to the guests and have banter which I enjoyed! So all in all pretty good day at work!! I think I may prefer working to uni! which is a shocker!!

Thats about all that has happened. Me and my housemates did just find a website to watch Waterloo road though!! Which to be honest was an exciting moment!

Also Mark text me yesterday to say Hi to everyone.. so 'hi' from Mark.. as far as I know he's fine.. was a pretty vague text but he seems happy.

Off to bed.. have a stressful day tomorrow of sunbathing...swimming and going out.. its a hard life.....

Earning my Ears

Sorry I haven't updated for a while. Have been crazy busy at work. Didn't get in until after midnight from work last night and then had to be up at 5 again this morning for work again. So didn't have time to update. So two days ago I actually started training at the store. It was all going well until I was sick in the bin in my managers office! never a good start to a new job. So she sent me home. Not sure why I was sick but felt so much better afterwards. Yesterday I had a second day of training which was good. My trainer was crazy!!! All the people are really nice but quite alot older than me! No- one quite like my Brenda yet!! Its quite hard as there's loads to learn about the different artists and then how to ship the products and how to order things in for guests. Which is obviously different from home. I then had to take loads of assesment tests which I got 100% on all of them which was good. I then got taught to check out which is alot easier than at home because we have other people to count it all for us, which makes life alot easier. So that was a good day.. Then today I was shattered when I got to work after being up at 5 but was good. I had to do the deliveries which was alright. Not as hard as the ones at home as there snot as much stock. So got taught all that stuff which was cool but they all seemed really happy with me.. I did a few shipping forms and order forms on my own today which the lady who trained me was really impressed with saying I've picked it up really quickly and soon ill be an asset to the store! ahah which is nice. Has given me abit more confidence. Guest servings alot harder here as I'm not up to scratch on my artists but it'll come with time. So it's all going well so far. Am still loving it. I'm off to Hollywood studios in a bit to watch Fantasmic which is aparently amazing. So ill let you know how that is.

Also the picture up there is from the fireworks display the other night.. I was very impressed with my photography skills which everone took the mic out of me for but I loved it!! xx

It all started with a mouse and a dream!!

Hey!! really sorry am on abit of a time limit as my batterys about to die and the charger isnt working!!
have had training for the past few days! been pretty cool learnt loads about the stores and where im working and started till training yesterday!! its pretty cool the amount we have learnt about it all! im going to have to learn loads about art for my shop... which seems pretty cool. i can geek up a little bit!! weather is boiling... so glad im not outside!! last night we went to watch the disney fireworks and then before that the parade. This year at disney they have a new thing called 'let the memories begin' which is all about making memories for our guests and every night they project footage from the day onto the castle... it is AMAZING!! acualy was unreal.. they have done it so it looks like bits of the castle are falling off and it changes colour and things.. it doesnt sound that good but was actualy the best thing iv ever seen!!! Walt would have been proud! The parks didnt close until midnight so we got to go on some of the rides.. as cast members we managed to skip most of the cues which was a bonus!! haha! loving it here! so nice just to say 'am popping to magic kingdom after work' haha for free! always good!! am off to magic kingdom again today as my only day off!! need to go and test out all the other rides.
The is a pirates of the caribbean ride.. and at the end there is a jack sparrow sitting in a chair.. but apparently he comes to visit quite alot so when he comes they put the real jack sparrow in the chair instead.. but guests never notice its him because of how good the model it.. my friends working on this ride.. so fingers crossed he comes to visit so i can go and see him.

Actually Living the dream!!

Had such a good day!! Yesterday we spent the whole afteernoon in the pool. was soo nice to chill out in the sun.. the americans r crazy.. full on bbq's going on at the side of the pool.. and not just disposable rubbish.. full on steaks, burgers the works!! Last night we had like 15people round an all cooked loads of random food. An american guy can round and made this amazing buffalo chicken dip thing! but tasted sooo good!! was a really nice night to just chill out with everyone. This morning we had to be up at like 6am for Traditions!! Was abit boring at first but then we got a little tour of magic kingdom which was pretty exciting and then the man himself Mickey Mouse came to meet us all! Then we got our name badges (was a veryyy exciting time)!! There were a few little questions and quizzes an i won two prizes! haha theres cute.. just little plastic mickeys but pretty cool! We finally recieved our Disney passes which was awesomee so we all went to spend the afternoon in Hollywood Studios!! Ha FOR FREE!! even better!! Managed to get onto Tower of Terror and Rockin Rollercoaster (we also get fast passes) - too many perks to the job!! haha then we saw indiana jones which was amazing! then we went to the backlock tour... an i managed to volunteer myself to be on a show! haha!so me ste and lauren all had to dress up in these costumes and do one of the stunt shows. ( the ones where they get the audience up to do stuff) was soo funny though!! got absolutatly soaked... was my debut in a feature length film! have some cracking photos ill wack up when i get the chance!!
We then took a little taxi ride over to Downtown disney! went into the biggest disney store in the world... i think anyways! haha was pretty big!! loved it! then we went to check out where ill be working. 'the art of disney' little bit boring but we'll see what happens! may be alright! Wondered around downtown for abit while waiting for the others then went to dinner at the rainforest cafe (we also managed to get discount here- those passes can do alot!!) was such nice food but was stuffed afterwards!! definatly realise why the americans are so big!! theres just food everywhere!!!
We then had the best taxi ride ever!! There was like 15 of us into this taxi and the guy- Kojac to be precise- aka LEDGEND! had a karaoke machine in his car! So we all had microphones and were blasting the tunes the whole way home!! was the best taxi ever!!
Very eventful day and am currently LOVING LIFE!!!
Start my proper training tomorrow so best get to sleep! night x

Sunny Day in Flordia

Morning!!!
Have my second day of orientation today.. which i imagine to be very boring but thought i'd let you all know about last night first..
When i got home yesterday my housemates all came in with cake and sang to me.. haha was pretty cute. then about 15 of us went off to hooters!! haha as u can imagine the lads thought it was all their birthdays and christmas's at once! was a good night.. standard greasy food but tasted good!! an of corse the hooter ladies got me on chair and stuck hundred of 'i love hooters' stickers all over me then sang to me.. there is a hilarious video of it.. so when it gets put up ill upload it onto here.. as you can imagine i was loving the attention!! haha!

when we got back we all tucked into cake and then went for a midnight swim!! perfect way to end the day tbf! had a really good birthday but missed u all!!

My Role

Today was a pretty boring day tbf... sat in a room for hourss about housing talks etc... however i found out where im workin! im in downtown disney ( which is apparently really good) I dont have a clue.. but at least i wont be working til 4am like i wud be in magic kingdom.. we are also wallys an read our itinery wrong.. so veryt good chance i will be working this weekend!! haha

First Day

Heyaaa!! pretty exciting day yesterday!! todays my birthday!! wooopp!
so yesterday mornin we all got up an had breakfast!! then went for a swim an a little sunbathe at the hotel! weather is amazinggg!! then we managed to loads 8 people and millions of suitcases into a taxi.. pretty good efforts then came over to disney! was soo exciting.. we all got given a number then went inside... i told them my number an the lady got really exciting an shouted 'its cara's birthday!!!!!!' haha on our welcome pack they had a big badge saying happy birthday cara.. so then all the disney people stood around me and started singing to me... then they gave me mickey mouse and took loads of pictures of me! was quite funny. we then got taken to our aparetments. im on vista way... which is cool... its the rubbish one of all the aparetments... an the same place anna is at. My friend amy is at patterson so was a shame to be seperated but the lads are on vista aswell which was cool. I got to my apartment and there was a french girl called patirica there.. really nice.. were now roommates and have an onsuite which is cool!!
we took an eventful trip to walmart!! haha had to buy loads!! not even a hanger in the wardrobe so ended up spendin a fair bit and got myself a new camera!!
once we finally got back to the apartment after a crazy spanish taxi driver not knowing the way home!! we quickly unpacked and went to patterson for a pool party. Amys apartment is soooo nice!!! alot nicer than ours! then headed over to the party. Was abit strange not being able to have a drink at the party but was really good in the end. we all had a dance and we got free pizza and stuff!! which was cool!
then went back to amys an chilled out with pizzza!! really good made lots of friends now!!
came back to apparetments and theres a few more housemates but most are asleep now!!
so its my brithday 2day but only 8am sooo nothing happened yet!! have house meetings an things today dont have traditions til friday. have saturday, sunday an monday off!! so were headin to all the parks!!! so that should be good!
off to hooters 2nite with my housemates an al the people i travelled with so should be a good night!!
